Peter F. Kelsen to Receive the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Harris Ominsky Award

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Real Estate partner Peter F. Kelsen has been named the recipient of the 2024 Harris Ominsky Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section. The award is presented to a pre-eminent real estate attorney on the basis of superior legal talent in the area of real estate law; unique contributions to and significant achievements within the real estate law community in Philadelphia; reputation for mentorship; and recognition in the legal community for honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

This award is a significant recognition as it is in honor of Harris Ominsky, who served as a Blank Rome real estate partner for 35 years, and is now being awarded to a current real estate partner at the firm.

The Harris Ominsky Award is one of two awards given annually by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section. Peter will receive the award at the Real Property Section Annual Ceremony and Reception on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Pyramid Club’s Fairmount Room.

Peter focuses his practice on land use and real estate development, counseling a wide range of clients, including developers, owners, financial institutions, and municipal agencies in an equally diverse range of industries. He advises clients on the complexities of their transactions in the areas of zoning and land use law, real estate tax assessment/exemption litigation, commercial development, and condemnation. Peter’s exemplary work has resulted in a number of awards and recognitions including being listed in Chambers USA for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use Law, being named an AV-Preeminent® attorney by Martindale-Hubbell®, and being recognized as Land Use and Zoning Law and Real Estate Law in Philadelphia, listed in Best Lawyers in America©.
