Brendan’s practice focuses on international trade matters, with notable experience in antidumping (“AD”) and countervailing duty (“CVD”) proceedings as well as other trade remedies, trade litigation, and international trade agreements. Prior to private practice, Brendan served as a senior attorney at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of the Chief Counsel for Trade Enforcement & Compliance. In this role, he served as legal counsel to agency officials advising on statutory and regulatory requirements, judicial precedent, and agency practice throughout administrative proceedings, involving a broad range of industries and countries. In addition to trade remedy proceedings, Brendan contributed to several rulemakings during his time with the Department and provided regular legal advice to the Foreign-Trade Zones (“FTZ”) Board, which regulates FTZ activities across the United States.
During law school, Brendan served as executive contributing editor of the Case Western Reserve Law Review.
